inspired by early morning california road trips i took as a child to visit relatives. i was always so awed by the towering hills on either side of us as we navigated into valleyways. i used to imagine there were sleeping giants or other creatures hiding in the hills, trying to nap before the sun is up all the way.
note: four hours in the car with family is not NEARLY as fun and enjoyable as 9 hours in the car with friends. just by the way.
