yay! happy solstice everyone! no big updates to the site. i made a giant gift to my closest friend group, though: the squares letter medley! spreading my christmas cheer much like some mushrooms on a log. this year was pretty great for me, as detailed in my last blog post. i did a lot of new things, and made things. some of them were even on this website. i managed to make a guide for winamp resources, redesigned my layout for easier navigation, posted more art (though less the last month or two), and i started posting and hosting my zines. i dunno what this next year will bring. i hope to write more blog posts since i have more thoughts than i have art ideas lately. i don't mind being a general hobby website rather than something specific, but i figure it makes it hard to really "market myself" (bleh!). i just hope that i can continue to bring my whole authentic self (selves?) and people who like it will come and listen. i've gotten a lot of nice comments this year. i am really truly terrible at replying at all (energy levels!!) but i read and cherish all of them; they make me know that it's worth keeping all these posts up and making new ones. i am just an unemployed disabled animal on the internet, but i feel loved by everyone who tells me they thought of me, and that includes all of you! this next year i'd like to post some texture resources from my personal collection. i have ... so many scans. i use a lot of crunchy paper textures and grunge that are sourced from me, myself, and i (a little plural joke for you) that i scanned personally. it's how i get my art to look almost traditional! (though rebelle helps a bit with that, in my more recent things, anyway.) in any case. have a wonderful end of the year, all of you! and don't overwork yourselves. there's only one of you, and whether you believe it or not, you're worth keeping around. be safe and warm!! | |
