going elsewhere

wanted to make this more background-friendly but didn't quite manage the right dimensions. haha! i was eyeballing it so that's not a huge surprise.
learning to add dashes of one color on top of a larger amount of another is a good tool to have. it adds some variety here to the grass. i seem easily drawn to green with red contrasts in my art. it's almost earthy, like a red stem on a plant.
i need to practice my fine motor control more. i have trouble keeping things inside the lines i draw, but i try to at least adapt a little so it isn't totally off.

a landscape watercolor painting. there is a large swath of grass that spans horizontally across the frame, taking up the bottom two thirds of the image. to the bottom right is a white dogthing walking past a signpost, which is labeled with question marks instead of landmark names. a strange circle in the top left is cut in half, so the bit over the grass is white and the bit that's over the final white third of the drawing is grassy.
